I recently had the opportunity to do an on-location fashion shoot in Malibu. The models were wonderful and the location was spectacular. The theme was “Cool Weather Beach Fashion”. When you are at the beach in many places in the world, it can turn a bit cool. Beach fashion is for everyone to see, and style at the shore is just as important as on any city street or boardroom. It took some careful planning to pull together a team to bring this project together. Fashion photography is very much a team effort involving make-up, hair, clothes, models, and experts in each field. The results can be amazing, and it is certainly fun to see how creative a team can be with all their experience and ideas.

When you are out with friends at the beach, sometimes the afternoon just demands denim-comfortable and warm when it needs to be. Sand and denim do go well together.

When the night settles in, it is time to break some rules. Those rules can be in photography or fashion. Either way, I think this looks like fun!
I had a great time pulling together this shoot. My wonderful and beautiful models were (in order of appearance) Jennifer Christina and Taylor Cerza. The make-up artist was Philippine with Third Eye Make Up. The team for this shoot was everything a photographer could ask for, and some day I hope to work with them again.
