Sometimes I get to be in places with my camera that most people are not allowed to go–and today was one of those special days. The local Forest Service did a prescribed burn in the Hunter Creek Valley, and I joined their efforts as part of the Aspen Fire Department. Some photos of our day follow. The fire was not particularly active, but it did its work of clearing out some areas that haven’t seen fire for a very long time. It was also great to take part in this in a place I know well from hiking over the course of many years. Enjoy the photos and the perspective on today’s work!
Nice fotos Mike! Thanks!!
