Hi all,
So Jenny is now in her room and my access is back. Jenny had a tough time this morning with the pain meds. I think they were causing the nausea and dizziness. The doctor came by and helped give her something for the nausea and got her off the PCA pain pump. I think this is a good direction. I had her eat a croissant and some water. (which she kept down) I think this is going to help go a long way. She seems better today and has made good progress this morning. I think getting her off the big IV meds is going to be key. Now I can keep a close eye on her.
So, Jenny now has a new neck. As you can see in the photo it does have a center soft spot just like her other disks. VERY Cool and, this is the entire reason to come to Germany. A high res photo can be seen on my flicker account here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikelyonsphotography/5768013104/
Let me know if you can’t see the photo (this is the first time I have used this). For those that have the phone number you can call very early in the morning. This is mid afternoon here and is the time most likely for me to be in the room with her.
So for now she is resting again. More Later

Good Morning
Boy this is something, what they can do. Michael, on the xray it looks like there is a little growth on the upper disk, or is that a flowter? I am sad to hear that she is having a hard time with the pain meds. I tell you our healthy living is going to haunt us. Hopefully they find something that will help her…..I know too well how she feels… Thank you for keeping us updated….Traudl
Glad to know you’re liberated, and able to be with Jenny again. Picture looks consistent with the animation – of course. It will be interesting to see what the old pains do as the pain meds are decreased.
This is probably too late, and you may well have been down this path first, but vintage conventional wisdom is that Germans have great respect for credentials (Traudl should have a more firmly based opinion on that). And you do have solid medical professional credentials. Any help?
Thanks immensely for the updates, and even more for the caring attention!
